Unlike Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) it doesn't use cellular and hence has lower running costs
Sends tracking and sensing data up to 15Km
Add detectors to cover arbitrarily large areas
Works across a very large geographic area without area-wide WiFi or Ethernet
SensorLoRa™ detectors see standard beacon advertising and relays information to the SensorLoRa™ gateway. The gateway sends sensor data on to your server via HTTP(S). Alternatively, it can be sent to BeaconServer™ for storage or to BeaconRTLS™ for showing location and sensor information on plans or maps.
Detectors and gateways are separate boxes that communicate via LoRa. The gateway connects to the Internet via WiFi. Detectors and gateways can be powered by equipment or vehicles having a USB socket or separately using a USB mains adapter (not supplied). In temporary scenarios, such as exhibitions, they can be powered using a USB power bank. For cases when the sensing is very infrequent, it's possible for detectors to be permanently battery powered.
SensorLoRa™ works with any generic beacons allowing you to choose beacons suitable for your particular situation. Choose between wearable, waterproof, sensor, ultra small, long battery life beacons or a mix of these. We supply over 100 models of beacon from 30 manufacturers.
When using SensorLoRa™ with sensor beacons, you can detect quantities such as movement (accelerometer), temperature, humidity, air pressure, light, open/closed, close proximity and human proximity (PIR).
SensorLoRa™ is supplied as stand-alone hardware with no subscription and isn't software as a service (SAAS).
SensorLoRa™ is a product from BeaconZone Ltd in the United Kingdom.
